- “The climate change agenda is a hoax.” – Vivek Ramaswamy
- “I can’t control the climate. I’m not doing mandates on any of that.” – Ron DeSantis
- “Something’s changing, and it’ll change back again… But I don’t know that it’s manmade… We have scientists that disagree with that. Look, scientists also have a political agenda.” – Donald Trump (The GOP front-runner blew off the debate, but his dangrous opinions on climate change are clear.)
Dear NRDC Action Fund Activist,
Republican presidential hopefuls still refuse to take the climate crisis seriously. At this week’s GOP presidential debate in Milwaukee, one by one they vowed to support Big Polluter friendly policies that would take the country backward and risk enviornmental catastrophe.
When asked if they believed in climate change, only ONE candidate said yes. The rest of the field wholeheartedly embraced anti-science lies and distortion when it comes to clean energy and climate.
The Republicans presidential candidates are living in the past, condemning us to a hotter and more dangerous planet. We need your help to fight back and keep these dangerous climate-deniers out of the White House.

The 2024 election is about two vastly different visions of our future. President Biden believes America – and the world – must and can wean itself off dirty fossil fuels by building a cleaner, healthier, and stronger economy that will also stabilize our climate and avoid the direst consequences of runaway warming.
Though the climate denier-in chief – and current Republican presidential front-runner – Donald Trump was absent from the debate, we know exactly where he stands. Echoing an old refrain, ahead of the debate he said his priority was to undo the work of President Biden and: “We will drill, baby, drill.”
The GOP’s vision for the future is dark – and out of step with the American people, who can see the damage fossil fuels are doing to our lives and livelihoods. The race for the White House is underway – and we’re in it for the long haul.
Going All In for Climate Action and signing up to volunteer is the best way to help us prepare for the fight ahead in the 2024 presidential elections.
Thank you for fighting with us.
Sincerely,
Kevin S. Curtis
