The numbers don’t lie – Republican Latina candidates are winning candidates
In our FIVE-seat house majority, we are very fortunate to have SIX Hispanic women, five of whom FLIPPED their districts from blue to red, paving the way to a Republican majority.
It’s not about identity politics; it’s about picking the right candidate for the right district. It’s no coincidence that three freshman Hispanic Republicans (Chavez de Remer, De la Cruz, and Luna) flipped their seats in 2022; while another two sophomores (Salazar and Malliotakis) flipped tough seats back in 2020. These candidates won not only because they carried winning policies, but they also were able to communicate those policies in the right way.
Hispanics are the fastest-growing Republican coalition in the country, and it is critical that we invest in candidates like Maria Salazar, Lori Chavez-DeRemer, Anna Paulina Luna, Nicole Malliotakis, Monica De La Cruz, and Jenniffer González-Colón!
Rep. Monica De La Cruz, who flipped a seat and is running for re-election in a border district, explained, “I’m going to focus on the things that matter most to my community.” Monica is running in a district where the demographic is 80% Latino. Not only is she running on a platform to Keep America Safe by returning to the Trump Administration's border policies – but she explains these policies effectively, in both English and Spanish!
About Virginia: This week’s woman of the week is Chairwoman Virginia Foxx of NC-05! Virginia has represented North Carolinians here in our nation’s capital since 2005. Her career lies in teaching and education – she has worked as a college English professor and eventually went on to serve as the President of various institutions. Prior to serving in the United States House of Representatives, she served in the North Carolina State Senate. Virginia was also confirmed by the United States Senate for a presidential appointment to the National Advisory Council for Women’s Educational Programs.
Virginia Foxx is known as one of the strongest conservative fighters in Congress and serves as Chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee.
BREAKING NEWS: This week, Politico dropped a profile on Virginia – highlighting her accomplishments as the Chairwoman of Education and Labor; and other major accomplishments from her impressive 18-year career.
POLITICO: Virginia Foxx Feature – ‘She’s just a bull’
It’s no secret that Republican women will NOT back down from a fight, especially when it’s their children’s future at stake. Virginia Foxx is no stranger to that. This week, Virginia was featured in a Politico article highlighting her impressive track record from fighting for parents rights, to saving womens sports.
The article quoted former Speaker of the house John Boehner who reflected on Foxx, “She’s just a bull, and she just charges in every day, nonstop, from sun up until way after the sun goes down.”
On issues relating to education and the workforce, Virginia is a stark contrast from the Biden administration’s reckless policies, and she’s determined to lead the country into a better path.
Virginia recently spearheaded the Parents Bill of Rights with Speaker McCarthy, Chairwoman Stefanik, and House Republicans who successfully passed the legislation:
The Parents’ Bill of Rights gives parents:
✅Right to know what’s being taught in schools and to see reading material
✅Right to be heard
✅Right to see the school budget and spending
✅Right to protect their child’s privacy
Virginia is one of the most formidable and accomplished Republicans in Congress, with over 18 years of results-driven experience. She is the force behind protecting our children and schools; and fighting for working men and women across America.
NOT Endorsed by E-PAC – Democrat Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03)
When people show you their true colors, you need to listen to them! Washington state Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, pretends to be a “Blue Dog” Moderate Democrat – but she’s actually a radical socialist.
Marie was just in NYC for an event hosted by the ‘Downtown Nasty Women Social Group’ (don’t they sound lovely!), which is where she said the quiet part out loud: “...We are sort of rebuilding it into – Mary, Jared, and I – are rebuilding it into this sort of antifascist rural [group]."
