John, For many in America, suspicion and resentment of those with different political beliefs has often turned into hatred. Too many people view those they disagree with politically as an existential threat to their way of life.
The divisions in our country are historic, and while I know not everyone will agree with me, I believe that we need a religious revival in America to begin to heal those divisions. I don't know of any other way to reconnect people within their communities so that they see others as equals, even those they disagree with.
Proposing new ideas and the lively debates that followed used to be something that we celebrated as a way to challenge our thinking and build real ties with others. We've lost that, and it's largely happened because some decided to capitalize on our divisions to fuel grievances for their own selfish gain.
Below is a clip of me discussing this on Friday. If you agree, please share it with your social media followers or forward this email to others. |
I was stunned when I watched the GOP debate on Wednesday. When the candidates were asked if they would support Donald Trump as the nominee even if he were convicted of a serious crime, only Gov. Asa Hutchinson said that he would not.
What has happened to the Republican Party is tragic.
It's time for us to put aside our resentment and focus on finding a way to remember what made America great in the first place. It's always been the strength of our people when we are working together.
The world is watching and waiting for us to recapture that image of the shining city upon a hill, serving as a beacon of hope and freedom for all. I'm out there every week giving speeches, doing media interviews, communicating on social media and using every other tool at my disposal to give hope and encouragement to as many Americans as I can. John - I'm counting on your continued support to ensure that we can keep this important work moving forward. Will you please consider chipping in right now to help with this important cause and ensure that we can keep up the fight for a better America? |
I'm so appreciative for your ongoing support. Thank you! -John |
