Jack, what a joke: Donald Trump wants to delay his federal trial around the Jan. 6 plot to overthrow our democracy until April 2026. Yes, that is absolutely ludicrous.

You know what’s not funny? Delaying his trials and winning the 2024 election looks to be Trump's best bet for avoiding prison time. Let’s not do him any favors.

Donald Trump's legal team is attempting to delay legal proceedings on serious state and federal charges. With key court dates set in January, March, and May, they are employing numerous tactics to delay them.

These strategies are part of a broader plan to prolong cases for months, allowing witnesses to vanish, and enabling Trump to run for office unencumbered.

Delay tactics have been central to the Trump legal playbook, shielding him from previous prosecutions. We cannot let him weasel out now.

We must stand firm in principles of justice that apply to all, regardless of status or political affiliation. The pursuit of justice should not be stalled.
