The worst corporate media coverage we’ve ever seen.

Friend,
We didn’t think the corporate media’s coverage of Donald Trump could get any worse. But this week, they hit an all-new low.
As Donald Trump surrendered to authorities in Fulton County, Georgia, cable news gave him precisely the wall-to-wall coverage he wanted—and the Republican base ate it up.
The Washington Post even ran a column from a supposedly liberal columnist claiming that the indictment was “one too many” and that “At some point, it becomes unfair—yes, even to Trump.”
I literally almost spit out my coffee when I read that.
Meanwhile, they declared Vivek Ramaswamy the “winner” of the Republican primary debate because he was the most Trump-like liar in the group.
Look. We all know what’s going on. The corporate media only cares about making money, and they love Trump because he gets ratings. They don’t give a damn whether our democracy goes up in flames as a result.
This is why independent, nonprofit media is so crucial—but for Common Dreams to survive, we must reach our Summer Campaign goal and raise $80,000 by September 1.
Please donate today to help support the independent journalism of Common Dreams.
