Dear Neighbors,This week, the Biden Administration launched a new student loan repayment plan to lower monthly payments for millions of borrowers. The Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE) plan is an income-driven repayment plan that calculates payments based on a borrower’s income and family size – not their loan balance – and forgives remaining balances after a certain number of years. To date, the Biden-Harris Administration has cancelled more than $116 billion in student loan debt for 3.4 million Americans. I am pleased that the Biden-Harris Administration continues to push for student loan debt reform and provide hardworking borrowers across New Jersey with alternative paths to relief.The Fight for Reproductive Freedom Isn’t OverTomorrow marks Women’s Equality Day – a day that commemorates the adoption of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution. It’s a good time to remember the progress we’ve made for equality, but the fight is far from over.
