The Williams Institute and the TransLatin@ Coalition are excited to announce this year's UniTy event will take place on October 24, 2023 in Los Angeles. UniTy was created to support the health, well-being, and rights of the transgender community, and this year's event will celebrate the launch of a groundbreaking survey on the lived experiences of transgender and nonbinary people in Los Angeles County.
The reception will honor Queen Victoria Ortega, International President of FLUX and Chief Visionary Officer at CONOTEC, Transgender activist Kris Hayashi, and Sydney Rogers aka Miss Barbie-Q, drag artist, cultural curator, and activist for their work protecting the rights of transgender communities.

The Williams Institute seeks someone with experience developing and executing high-quality strategic programs, including events, sponsorship, fundraising, donor solicitation, and stewardship. The Associate Director of Events and Development will work in collaboration with other UCLA teams to oversee events and achieve the Williams Institute’s fundraising and friend-raising goals.
