Fundraising in August has been really tough, and I need to raise $45,000 per day to keep my campaign operations running to plan.

But as of right now, we're $15,908 short of our goal.

Look, a lot of politicians (Ted Cruz) spend their time in office lining their own pockets, selling books, and saying whatever it takes to get as much TV air time as possible.

But me? I ran for office because I wanted to be a voice for the people from all over my district – my community deserves someone who would fight for the issues affecting us most. And I'm running for Senate to be that voice for folks all over Texas, and all over the country.

My team and I are in the middle of a road trip across Texas, where I've met with folks from El Paso to Houston to Ft. Worth. It's been incredible getting to know so many people because I really do want to be a senator for all Texans.
