Apply for a Lawns to Legumes Grant
The Lawns to Legumes Program offers grants for projects that help the endangered Rusty Patched Bumble Bee and other pollinators by creating environmentally-friendly, low-maintenance landscapes that reduce harmful chemicals and increase habitat. If awarded, up to $400 in grant funds are available to applicants.

City Ranks #1 in Organics Recycling
With more than 18% of households participating, Mendota Heights ranks #1 in organics recycling participation through Dakota County! In 2022, the Mendakota Park drop site alone collected 101 tons of organic material, equal to the weight of an average-size blue whale.
