** FEBRUARY CHAIRMAN'S BRIEFING
------------------------------------------------------------

My Fellow Orange County Republicans –

Tomorrow we will be one week away from Election Day. As of this weekend Republicans hold a 27,451 voter turnout advantage over the Democrats countywide.

The fact that there is a crowded Democrat primary with 8 candidates brawling for votes in California yet we are still leading in turnout in Orange County is nothing short of amazing. The energy to take back our county from the Democrats is here!

But this is no time to celebrate. It is time to finish the job.

There are still eight days left to vote and 448,952 Orange County Republicans who have not cast a ballot yet. We need them to turn out and we need your help to do it.

Join us this Saturday for our final GOTV Saturday efforts. We will be deploying in three different locations throughout Orange County. You can click HERE ([link removed]) for details and to sign up to volunteer to make sure the Orange County Comeback starts on March 3rd.

If you have not turned in your ballot please visit ocgop.org/vote to find your nearest vote center, ballot drop box or mail it in (no postage needed) as soon as possible. With only about a week left to turn out Republicans we must focus on turning out Republicans who might not vote. Voting as soon as possible will unsure we have updated data and can focus on who we need to turn out. Our endorsements can be found on this website also.

The deadline has passed for voter registration but new state law does allow same day voter registration. If you or someone you know if currently a "No Party Preference" voter who wants to vote for President Trump in the primary they can go to a Vote Center and reregister as a Republican to vote for Trump. You can find a list of vote centers at ocgop.org/vote.

At our February Central Committee meeting we heard from the Republican candidates for Orange County Board of Education: Jim Palmer (District 1), Ken Williams (District 3) and Tim Shaw (District 4). The Republican Board of Education majority in Orange County is on the line. Democrats are spending unseen amounts of dollars to flip the Board of Education which will mean an end to school choice in OC, a stifling of parental rights and all three candidates are funded by Planned Parenthood seeking to get into your children's schools.

We also passed a resolution to oppose Proposition 13. There have been deceptive mailers that are pretending to be from the Republican Party supporting Proposition 13 - don't believe them. There are good Republican candidates on those mailers from Congressional candidates down to Central Committee. Let me be clear those candidates were not aware they would be listed with Proposition 13.

While we are focused on a strong showing for the March 3rd primary - we are preparing for the main event in November. Last week we launched our fundraising campaign for the 21st Annual Flag Day Salute on June 13th which serves as our biggest fundraiser of the year and funds our party operations so we are equipped and ready to win in November for President Trump and our Republican ticket. we are already in talks with some speakers you won't want to miss. You can purchase tickets at ocgop.org/flagday.

Once again I cannot stress enough how much we need volunteers on the ground in the next eight days. If you have an hour or a day to dedicate to fighting for our county it will go a long way to winning in March.

Sincerely,
Hon. Fred M. Whitaker
Chairman, Republican Party of Orange County
