Will you help GLAAD stop the spread of lies and misinformation?

We are writing to you today with an urgent request for support.

As you know, Wednesday night's Republican presidential primary debate was a disgrace. Rather than focusing on real dangers to the American public, the candidates repeatedly attacked LGBTQ people, especially transgender youth. They spread misinformation and lies about our community, and they made it clear that they are willing to trade our safety and well-being for social media engagement, campaign fundraising, and applause.

This is not just rhetoric. Anti-LGBTQ statements have a direct impact on the safety of our community. So far this year there have been more than 350 threats and attacks against the LGBTQ community. And we know that this is just the beginning.

That's why it's more important than ever to support GLAAD's work. We are the world's largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization, and we are uniquely equipped to fight back against these lies and misinformation being spread about our community. We need to educate people about what it means to be LGBTQ, and we need to stand up for our rights.
