The Arizona Republic is reporting the Arizona Supreme Court could reinstate the state's total abortion ban. This law, from when Abraham Lincoln was president and Arizona was a territory, mandates prison time for abortion providers and bans abortion without exceptions for rape and incest. We must fight back!

Arizona is already one of 21 states with an abortion ban – and this step would push us back even further, establishing a total ban on abortion without exceptions and sending health care providers to jail.
Meanwhile, my opponent, far-right David Schweikert, has made opposition to women’s rights a core crusade of his time in Congress. He is pushing a nationwide ban of abortion with no exceptions, voted against the right to contraception, and even voted to allow states to prosecute women traveling out of state to receive an abortion.
When it comes to protecting women’s rights and abortion access – I have a track record voters can trust. When I was elected Chair of the Arizona Democratic Party, I took on Jan Brewer and the Republicans in the legislature who tried to limit abortion access. I worked with Democrats in Congress to fight Republican attempts to stack the courts with anti-choice judges. And after Roe was overturned, as a CEO, I guaranteed every employee in my company access to reproductive health care benefits – no matter where they lived.
It’s time for a change. If elected to serve in Congress, I’ll take immediate action to enshrine the right to reproductive health care into law once and for all. But, I cannot protect abortion access alone. I need your support.
