John,
Tomorrow we celebrate Women’s Equality Day –the day we recognize the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920, giving American women the right to vote.
It was the culmination of a half-century of organized activism by the suffragettes and their allies, whose steadfast commitment to equality and empowerment set a standard that continues to inspire us today.
But we also recognize the 19th Amendment wasn’t all-inclusive and that for all the progress we’ve made, there is still so much more that needs to be done to achieve true equality in our country and around the world.
Help us build on the work of the bold visionaries who came before us and strive for a truly equitable future by supporting your Connecticut Democrats today. [[link removed]]

MAGA extremists and the GOP are looking to send us back to those days 123 years ago when women were not seen as equals in our society:
*
The
open
assault
on
women’s
rights
has
been
felt
around
the
country
since
the
conservative
Supreme
Court
overturned
Roe
v.
Wade
.
*
The
right
of
everyone
to
vote
in
free,
fair
elections—and
for
that
vote
to
count—is
under
attack.
Connecticut Democrats are fighting back. In the last two months alone, Gov. Lamont signed a series of bills that further protect women’s reproductive rights and expands voting rights to make it more convenient and accessible for every Connecticut voter.
As we celebrate Women’s Equality Day, would you please consider a donation of $19 in honor of the ratification of the 19th Amendment and the women in your life? [[link removed]]
Today and every day, we’re standing up for the principles embodied by the 19th Amendment—fairness, justice, and equality—and creating a brighter, more inclusive future for all. Thank you for your support.
Best,
Sarah Locke
