That’s the takeaway from a recently published study on health outcomes for people with and without substantial medical debts: The same trip to the hospital that you needed to get well one day could help make you sick over the long haul, if it leaves you with a huge bill to repay. Racial Wealth Snapshot: Asian Americans And The Racial Wealth Divide

This is one in a series of Racial Wealth snapshots. The household median income for Asian Americans increased by 1.8% from 2020 to $101,418 in 2021. That is 43% greater than the national median income of $70,784. Despite Asian Americans having the highest household median income, many Asian Americans still face economic insecurity. In 2022, the poverty rate was 11% for Asian Americans compared to 8.1% for White, non-Hispanic Americans.[Read more ([link removed] ) ]

Major US Bank With More Than 1,000 Locations Nationwide Closing Branch as Frustrated Customers Directed Elsewhere

Fifth Third Bank announced it will be closing one of its banking locations in Cincinnati, Ohio. There are 102 Fifth Third branches in Greater Cincinnati, the most of any bank. According to Oates, the latest closure is part of the company's ongoing review of its branch network.Between 2017 to 2021, 9% of all bank branch offices closed, according to the National Community Reinvestment Coalition.
