The Arboretum Beer Festival is back for a third year, bringing warm summer vibes to Nottingham’s historic green heart.

This all-day event will once again showcase dozens of great real ales and craft beers from local breweries and beyond, including Black Iris, Castle Rock, Hollow Stone, Thornbridge and many more. Located around the park’s Victorian bandstand, the event will blend the tasty food and beer selection with live music and entertainment.

Street food vendors will be curated by Bustler Market with plenty of choice to cater for all tastes and food preferences.

Kicking off at midday, there will be music and entertainment over two stages - the bandstand and the Acoustic Rooms pallet stage.

Final release tickets are £15 (plus booking fee) including a commemorative festival cup.

Driven to desperate measures in order to provide for his son Frank, he agrees to become a get-away driver for the local baddies.

An open-air adaptation of David Walliams’ Bad Dad is the perfect summer family entertainment. So, pack your picnics, grab your wet weather gear or sun-cream (or both), something to sit on, and join Frank and Gilbert as they navigate their way through car chases and convicts in the struggle to escape the clutches of the local crime lord and clear Gilbert’s name.

Filbrit Festival is a Philippine cultural fiesta featuring international and local artists.

On Saturday Toploader headline the Main Stage, alongside The Public Eye and Genine Labis. Boyzlife (featuring Boyzone and Westlife stars Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden) headline on Sunday, with the line-up also including OGL Records, Lajay and Charlie Green.

In addition the festival features world food vendors, traditional clothing stalls and fairground rides. There's lots on for kids too, including face-painting, an inflatable theme park, arts and crafts tent, circus acts and a glow in the dark area with sensory disco.

Day tickets are £15 for adults, £5 for under 16s and under 5s are free, with weekend passes also available.

Celebrate our great county with the Nottinghamshire Day Festival this weekend. The date marks the anniversary of the start of the English Civil War, an event triggered by Charles I raising the royal standard at Nottingham Castle in 1642.

Back by popular demand, crowd favourites The Sherwood Outlaws will be returning to bring the legend of Robin Hood to life with their all-action arena show.

You will also have the chance to pick up a bow and try your hand at the sport in the Start Archery zone.

Open-Air Theatre: Robin Hood

Illyria Theatre has created a fast-moving, fun-packed family show from the earliest ballads of Robin Hood.

While good King Richard is away fighting the crusades, his friend Robin Hood resolves to relieve corrupt landowners of their wealth, to ruin the inept Sheriff of Nottingham and to do all he can to prevent the power-mad Prince John from seizing the throne.

This open-air production features tales of camaraderie, good against evil, swashbuckling action, riotous comedy and an archery competition involving the entire audience.
