Disruption to bike traffic lights on the Western Cycle Corridor
A car has hit the bike traffic lights on the Western Cycle Corridor heading into Nottingham at the Castle Boulevard / Castle Bridge Road junction which has unfortunately taken them out of action.
The installation of replacement cycle lights is scheduled for week commencing 28th August.
Until the replacement lights have been installed cyclists travelling into Nottingham should cross using the Toucan (pedestrian and cycle) crossing and re-join the cycle lane on the other side of Castle Bridge Road, opposite Halfords. The cycle lights on the outbound cycle lane are unaffected, so cyclists travelling out of the city can use the cycle lights as normal.
Overnight resurfacing works on Trent Street and Station Street - final works on 29 & 30 August
Nottingham City Council are carrying out overnight resurfacing works on key city centre routes this August. These works will mean the roads are completely resurfaced with new tarmac, creating a new road surface that is expected to last for around 25 years.
This project is funded by Transforming Cities via the City Centre Cycle Routes project, following earlier works to add cycle lanes to these areas.
