This evening, Donald Trump surrendered himself to authorities in Fulton County, Georgia, to face charges related to illegally scheming to overturn his 2020 election loss.

We would be remiss if we didn’t mention that Ted Cruz was a major participant in the effort to overturn the election in the United States Senate, and his defense of Trump over the last week, including calling his indictment “disgraceful" has shown that Cruz is just as dangerous as Trump.

Our country deserves better, and next year, we have an opportunity to defeat Cruz and protect our democracy from abuses like the ones we endured in 2020 from ever happening again — but that means we need to start building the resources now.
