John, My goal in sending emails is to keep people informed and educated about the goings-on in our nation and provide opportunities for grassroots activism around important issues. In fact, right now our team is leading the charge in holding Attorney General William Barr accountable, by inspiring over 45,000 citizens to demand that Barr resign. But sometimes I need to send fundraising emails too. It’s not my favorite part of my job, but it is important to rely on grassroots contributions so that I can always speak truth to power in Washington and represent you — not the special interests.
