We tried politeness. For 50 years we laid the climate science on the table. We told the unignorable truth. We marched in the streets.

You ignored us.

Now the skies are orange. The world’s on fire. The future looks grim. We can’t afford to be blown off again.

You have brought upon yourselves the medieval vengeance of the people of the world. Pleading and negotiating is over. Now we’re into demands. Last chance, amigos: If you don’t huddle up, declare a code red emergency and announce an immediate fossil fuel plan, we will ramp up our civil disobedience and bring your doomsday machine to a sudden shuddering halt.
