‌John,

After the Supreme Court struck down a key provision of the Voting Rights Act in 2013, Congressman John Lewis led efforts to restore these protections in the House.

The Voting Rights Advancement Act, which was renamed the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act after his passing, was introduced to restore the integrity of the original Voting Rights Act and passed in the House exactly two years ago, but this crucial legislation still isn’t law.

So far in 2023, 11 states have already enacted 13 restrictive voting laws, with a rise expected as we get closer to the election. Chris believes we must continue to fight to safeguard people's voices in our democracy by protecting the vote, and he needs your support.

If you agree that we must protect voting rights and that Congress must pass legislation like the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act now, sign our petition today → [link removed]

As Congressman Lewis said, “The vote is precious. It is almost sacred. It is the most powerful non-violent tool we have in a democracy.” Chris is ready to honor not only John’s legacy, but the values of our free and fair country by ensuring that every eligible American can vote.

Do you agree with Chris? Add your name to the petition today if you support protecting the right to vote. >> [link removed]
