PRT’s Downtown to Oakland Bus Rapid Transit project, now called PRTX, has been in the works for more than a decade. The agency has begun posted notices to riders with a confirmed date for the first round of service changes accompanying this project: October 1

The PPT Summer Picnic brought together 100 member to celebrate good times, and the 2023 Summer Membership Drive brought on 115 new and rewnewing members!

Events like our Summer Member Picnic are important because they bring us together as an organization. Members are able to build bonds with other members and create connections to our work. At these social events, we see our community and we recognize that we organizing to improve each-others lives.

If you live along Rt. 837 that connects McKeesport to Homestead, join our campaign meeting to make sure that these investments truly increase transit access for our neighbors. Receive a $25 gift card!

Residents and bus riders who live along Rt 837 are invited to these meetings to discuss how transit improvements could increase your access to things like food, jobs, childcare and education. Congratulations to the PPT Members who were elected to the Board!

After all the votes were tallied, 7 PPT members were elected or re-elected to the PPT Boar. Congratulations to Ms. Teaira Collins, Bonnie Fan, Paul O'Hanlon, Gabriel McMorland, Dean Mougianis, and Nickole Nesby for being elected to seats reserved for general member. And congratulations to Kevin Joa, who was elected into the PPT Board seat reserved for unionized transit workers.

PPT has had lots of amazing people connected to our membership through Repair the World's Service Corps program. These people have helped us with everything from campaign planning to membership support to bus rider canvassing. Repair the World's program is an amazing opportunity to get connected to a network of people who care about making change in their communities.

Bringing human rights home -- Please join us for food, fun and sharing endeavors to strengthen Pittsburgh's implementation of racial equity & human rights commitments - in all areas of policy. Opportunity to get involved and support anti-racism initiatives, housing rights, gender justice, democracy, and greater equity in Allegheny County. Kids are welcome (spray park on-site! Sandwiches will be provided and you can bring a dish to share (if you can).
