John —
Last night, during the first GOP presidential debate, Republicans once again reminded us what they really believe:
-
They intend to ban abortion nationwide.
-
They believe human-caused climate change is not real.
-
They want to eliminate the Department of Education and send troops to invade Mexico.
-
And they almost all plan to support Trump again, even if he ends up convicted of trying to overturn the 2020 election in the next few months.
None of these beliefs enjoy popular support. But whether it's Trump or another nominee, the Republican Party is intent on forcing a deeply unpopular agenda on the American people in 2024 through demagoguery and attacks on democracy — backed by billionaires and megadonors who want to crush any candidates who actually stand with working people.
We need to get ready right now to fight back the best way we know how — through organizing across our differences to build a movement that can take them on and win.
Will you chip in $5 or whatever you can afford to fuel our electoral organizing so we can continue to fight back against the radical MAGA Trump movement and elect working class champions up and down the ballot in 2023 and 2024?

Last night, viewers were presented with a deeply disturbing view of America. One that is out of step with reality and with what the majority of the American people support.
We have a different vision for America. A vision of the multiracial working class coming together to build a movement of our own — one that believes that the climate crisis is an emergency, that our votes should be protected, and that people who can get pregnant should have control over their own bodies.
And we don’t have to wait till next year to make inroads. There are critical elections happening over just the next few months that can bring us closer to the world that we seek.
-
In Rhode Island in two weeks, we can elect another working families champion to Congress in Aaron Regunberg, who has taken on Big Oil and expanded renewable energy.
-
In Ohio, we are part of a grassroots movement to pass a state constitutional amendment to enshrine the right to an abortion this fall.
-
In Virginia, we’re working around the clock to ensure that the last state in the South where abortion is legal and accessible stays that way by electing WFP champions to the state legislature this November.
-
And in key places like Philadelphia, PA and Atlanta, GA, we’re on the ground every day, organizing around campaigns that will improve the everyday lives of working people and mobilize more voters to the polls in 2023, 2024 and beyond.
With your support, we can elect working class champions up-and-down the ballot who will fight for our values — not the values we saw on display last night. Chip in $5 to help us grow our movement, recruit and elect the next generation of progressive leaders, and prepare for everything we know is coming our way in 2023 and 2024.
