John,
The NC GOP's Voter ID law is taking effect, and we're working to keep voters informed.
Beginning with the 2023 local elections, North Carolina voters are required to show a valid government-issued photo ID to cast a ballot.
While there are exceptions for those who can't get or provide a copy of their ID, it requires forms to be filled out, and the rules are confusing. More than 480,000 North Carolinians lack valid voter ID; worse, there's no doubt that this strict voter ID law will disproportionately impact Black and brown voters.
To get the word out to NC voters and ensure they have what's needed to cast their ballots on election day, we must start our work early. That’s why we need your help now more than ever.
So, John, will you join us as we fight to protect access to the ballot box by splitting a $5 contribution between the North Carolina Senate Democrats and Valerie today?
