A new season of Democracy Decoded is on the way! I am so grateful for your overwhelming support these past two seasons. We’ve gotten the chance to dive deep into the nuts and bolts of our campaign finance system and explore the current state of voting in the U.S. In season three, we’ll be zooming in on democracy issues at the state and local levels and how we can better protect the right of all citizens to have our voices heard and the ability to hold our leaders accountable.

Season 3 focuses on topics like expanding the freedom to vote, increasing opportunities for people to elect leaders of their choice and implementing new systems to prevent corruption and ensure local governments adhere to the highest ethical standards.

My name is Simone Leeper, and I'm the host of "Democracy Decoded." In our podcast series, I chat about democracy with different experts and take a deep dive into the forces that shape our elections. When I’m not hosting this podcast, I litigate a wide range of redistricting-related cases in my role at CLC. I challenge gerrymandered maps and advocate for election systems that guarantee all voters an equal opportunity to be represented in our democracy.
