Last night, Donald Trump skipped the Republican presidential debate and opted instead for an interview with Tucker Carlson.
I hope you were spared from watching both events, but here are a few takeaways:
Nearly every Republican committed to backing Trump despite his multiple indictments for trying to overturn the 2020 election. As for Trump himself, he doubled down in calling the election he lost "rigged."
Today, Trump is getting booked in Georgia, but he couldn't resist the chance to first embolden his MAGA allies in the states who believe him, and will stop at nothing to ensure he's back in the White House.
Here's one important action you can take to stop them: Chip in $3 to elect and defend the Democratic Secretaries of State who are overseeing our elections in critical 2024 battlegrounds.
Let me be clear: our best line of defense against GOP voter suppression and plots to decertify election results is having strong, pro-democracy Secretaries of State who will protect the will of the voters.
Trump's allies are working around the clock to appoint operatives in key roles for counting and certifying votes. And John, they would have succeeded in 2020 if it weren't for our efforts to stop them.
Democrats need to stay vigilant, which means putting our resources where they can have the biggest impact:
Send in a donation of $3, or whatever you can, to defend our elections and stop Trump's allies from undermining our democracy ever again.
