Last night, Fox News aired the first Republican presidential primary debate. It was exactly what we expected.

For two hours, we watched a GOP beholden to Donald Trump.

They attacked the Justice Department. They doubled down on enacting abortion bans, rolling back progress on climate change, and protecting their four-time indicted leader.

And if that wasn’t enough, candidates even pledged to pardon Trump as one of their first acts of business in the White House.

Republicans made their intentions crystal clear last night: They are ready to carry the torch for Donald Trump’s MAGA agenda, whether or not he becomes the nominee.

He doesn’t need to be on the debate stage to make his presence felt. We need to stand up against their attacks now.
