George Santos on whether he’d take a plea deal: ‘Look, right now, no’
George Santos recently appeared on the TV show GoodDay New York for a sit-down interview about his record in Congress.
When asked if he would take a plea deal in the federal case where he faces 13 criminal charges related to alleged financial crimes, he said, “Right now, no.”
Look, federal prosecutors allege Santos was part of three schemes to mislead campaign donors, illegally took unemployment benefits, and lied on financial disclosures. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison.
Santos has received bipartisan calls for his resignation -- but he won’t do it. So we need to do this the old-fashioned way -- by defeating him at the ballot box.
We’re supporting Anna Kaplan, the two-term NY State Senator running against him. Will you pitch in $20 or more to support Anna’s campaign?
The people of New York deserve so much better than George Santos as their representative.
Anna Kaplan is running to restore honor and integrity to the U.S. Congress. Let’s send her there,
