Friend,
As a woman, I knew that entering this race wouldn’t be easy. After all, Louisiana has never had a female AG in its 211-year history, and something like that doesn’t happen by chance. But this is far from the first time I’ve been working in a man’s world.
Some of my proudest moments in my career are found in my tireless advocacy for the women of Louisiana. After I gained notoriety from taking the bad actors responsible for “cancer alley” — and won — I knew it was critical to have other women in places of power to protect one another and our communities.
I got to work in supporting women running for the bench in Orleans Parish, and after three years, over 80% of the judges in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court are women. This feat was the result of women supporting women in becoming leaders, and with the current state of women’s rights, representation couldn’t be more important.
We live in a world where our rights and freedoms have constantly been undermined by self-interested leaders who work against the will of women and girls across the country. As your AG, I’ll hold those bad actors accountable and restore decency to the office — just like I’ve done as a lawyer.
I’m running to build a Louisiana where all women and girls are free to determine their futures. Can I count on you to chip in $10 or more to my campaign today?
