Know a trailblazer, activist, or changemaker between the ages of 13-18?
Our Youth Leadership Council (YLC) may be the perfect opportunity for them to connect with like-minded student peers, learn about our modern food system, and take action to create a kinder world. YLC is a national network of passionate teenagers striving to create a more just, sustainable, and compassionate food system.
Connect and collaborate with fellow youth activists.
Dive deeper into the interrelated issues of our food system.
Experience a virtual tour of one of our sanctuaries.
Become leaders in their schools and communities.
Launch advocacy projects that align with their interests.
Make a difference for farmed animals, people, and the planet.
Youth Leadership Council members will also receive tools, resources, and guidance to help change hearts and minds and bring about positive change in our food system!
Students will connect during monthly meetings throughout the school year
YLC’s orientation meeting will be held on Sunday, September 17, but we’ll continue to accept applications through October 15.
Prospective members will receive a welcome packet with program information, including the meeting schedule, and a parent/guardian permission form. They will also have a brief phone interview where they can ask questions about YLC.
We are excited for another inspiring year with Farm Sanctuary’s Youth Leadership Council. Thank you for your interest in education and advocacy!
