John, last night,
the 2024 presidential campaign kicked off with a bang with the first
Republican primary debate — featuring eight candidates that debated
everything from their disdain for democracy, to cutting aid to Ukraine, to
upending reproductive freedom for millions across the country.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump held a counter interview with disgraced former Fox
News host Tucker Carlson, where he continued to rally against his most
recent indictment in Georgia and promised an even more radical agenda
should he win the 2024 election.

With last night’s debate, we wanted to take a moment to go back in time to
2016…when 10 candidates including our very own part-time senator Ted Cruz
decided to throw his hat in the ring and run for President.

Spoiler alert…it didn’t go well. At all. 😂

[ [link removed] ]We’ll remind you of just how bad Ted’s presidential campaign went in a
moment but before we do, can you pitch in $5 today to Lose
Cruz?

In case you forgot (we wouldn’t blame you either), Ted Cruz was one of the
early frontrunners and several pundits predicted a potential GOP
nomination in his sights.

As the self appointed leader of the Tea Party movement, Ted ran on an
extreme, uncompromising platform against the so-called “establishment”
where he promised to pass a national abortion ban, refused to address mass
shootings, enforce a hardline immigration policy, and sought to undermine
same-sex marriage. No thanks. 🤢

As we know now, this never happened. Ted’s bid for the White House flamed
out with the rise of Donald Trump — a man who made personal attacks
against Ted and his wife, and promoted the conspiracy theory that Ted’s
father was involved in the assassination of President Kennedy.

After Ted dropped out of the race, he refused to endorse Trump, condemning
him as a “narcissist” and a “pathological liar.” He then completely
backpedaled, becoming Trump’s biggest enabler in the Senate, where he led
the Sedition Caucus effort to overturn the 2020 election in the lead-up to
and in the aftermath of the Capitol insurrection.

John, in 2016
and today, Ted Cruz has shown us who he is — an opportunist who is willing
to sell his soul whenever politically convenient for him. We've had enough
and we're ready to send him home. But in order to do this, we'll need to
amass a groundswell of grassroots support.

whatever you can today?
