As a lifelong education advocate and former school board president, Mary Gay will not stand by as right wing extremists and lawmakers weaponize censorship and perpetuate harm on our kids and communities. On the House Judiciary Committee, she’s a direct witness to Jim Jordan’s antics in support of far-right ideologies — including abusing his subpoena power to enable censorship in our schools.
Teachers, faculty, and parents do not need the government censoring fact-based curricula and materials that provide students a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.
