House Republicans have 36 days to prove to the American people that we will fight for them and, thus, are worthy of being in the majority.
When government funding expires on September 30th, we must agree only to fund a government that secures the blessings of liberty.
We must reject this decline and address these existential crises that make hard-working citizens doubt the American dream:
INFLATION AND SPENDING: We must establish fiscal security – a small step toward which would be returning to pre-COVID spending levels. To stop inflation, we cannot keep spending recklessly to fund a tyrannical bureaucracy.
OPEN BORDERS: We must secure the border and end illicit trafficking of human beings, as well as narcotics that kill Americans while empowering the cartels and China. We do this by forcing the President to sign HR 2 into law, implement its policies, target the cartels, and remove Mayorkas from office.
WEAPONIZED BUREAUCRACY: We must end the politicization AND weaponization of the DOJ by withholding funding until they end their clearly political prosecutions and re-focus on securing our communities again (crime, fentanyl, sex trafficking).
WOKE MILITARY: We must restore a mission-focused Defense Department committed to “peace through strength” for our national security – and the first step is to end woke, social engineering at the Pentagon that crushes morale, recruiting and readiness.
WAR ON RELIABLE ENERGY: We must end the war on reliable energy (the Inflation Reduction Act cost $1.2 trillion) that drives up the cost of cars, electricity, and all goods, subsidizing a few wealthy leftist elites, empowering China, funding child labor, and destroying human flourishing.
All but two current House Republicans opposed the 2023 omnibus “deal,” so a Continuing Resolution of any kind must be dead on arrival.
And I’ll add this: any “emergency” supplemental funding bill should be viewed skeptically, should be offset with expanded IRS funding or IRA subsidy funding, and should NOT be packaged with any additional Ukraine proposal.
To preserve the American Dream, we are morally obligated and empowered by the founders to withhold funding for government as a means to force change to stand athwart the devastating abuse of power by the Biden Democrats.
