key takeaways from the GOP Debate
|
The GOP debate was, undoubtedly, a horrifying experience. The fact that these people could spew the filth they did all while their likely party nominee looked on as he was preparing to turn himself in for the 4th time in 3 months is beyond any sane person.
You cannot make this stuff up. The most indicative moment was the question: if Trump is convicted and wins the party nomination, present a show of hands who will support him. All of the hands went up one by one except for Asa Hutchinson. They laid it out for us: their loyalty is to Trump above all else.
At that moment, I realized how serious this is and how vital our work is in this cycle. The views that they have for our country are so out of touch with reality on everything from abortion rights, the economy, workers' rights, the environment, healthcare, you name it, they have a dystopian plan to wreck it.

Who could forget the infamous line of the night by the star of the debate clown circus, Vivek Ramaswamy, who proudly shouts: "Climate Change is a Hoax!" He then went on to say that more people have died from climate change countermeasures than from climate change itself.
The heat index in Milwaukee yesterday was 109 degrees.
Every month, we witness some once-in-a-generation atmospheric event somewhere in the world, whether wildfires in Canada or now Maui.
Increasingly volatile hurricanes across our coasts.
150-degree heat index in Iran, and that was just this summer.
Our planet and people are suffering, and one party has completely ignored it. The moment we are facing is just too essential for us not to take it with the seriousness that it deserves. |
Trump, The Media, Our Role... |
As the debate was happening, Trump started his propaganda interview with Tucker Carlson. Now we see that he and Trump (along with Elon Musk) are teaming up, and our opposition has unified. They have money, the candidate, and the media apparatus to get him across the finish line.
We will not give an inch on this extremist agenda. We are going to fight in the trenches, and that includes the deep south, the midwest, from coast to coast.
We are going to be using Musk's own platform to reach voters. A beta program is being tested as we speak to use Twitter for persuasion messaging via paid media. This tool was not available last cycle, but this time around, Musk introduced it to help Republicans, and we will be utilizing it as well. We are lucky that we have a team of brilliant strategists that caught this very early and brought it to my attention, and I immediately told them to get to work and ready to unleash our newest content.
Every tool in the arsenal is being put to work for 2024 because our country, and our children deserve it. |
