They're not "homeless camps," they're government-sponsored slums. DPD needs to move from 3,000 to 4,000 police officers ASAP.

Local Activists Work to Clean Up Dallas |
|
|
While our city council endlessly debates hypothetical solutions, a local activist group is taking action to make Dallas cleaner. The group, called A Better Dallas, was founded in 2021 to politically empower local residents and make measurable improvements to Dallas's public life through projects like their White Rock Lake cleanup campaign.
Chris Klement, president of A Better Dallas, said, "…you can see where City services aren't getting out there to clean places up. There are certain places that are getting more and more blighted." |

Dallas is in an unfortunate state. Our city can't or won't do its job, and our city council members don't seem to care that the city is in decline. Sadly, private citizens are having to fill the gap even though the city collects billions in taxes! At the same time, the vagrancy crisis continues to spiral out of control, making our city as dirty and dangerous as ever. |
Dallas is lucky that it has caring residents who are willing to step up to stop the disintegration of their city. We need more groups like A Better Dallas to help residents fight back, and Keep Dallas Safe exists for the same reason. You can make a difference in Dallas if you commit to the hard work of saving this city from itself. Contact your council member and demand that they clean up the filth in our city by clearing out illegal vagrant camps!

Lack of 4K Cops Strains Response Times |
What is the point of a police force if they don't show up when you need them? Response times for top-priority 911 calls are up to a shocking and dangerous 11.2 minutes. For reference, response times in the same category took 9.9 minutes in April. That's a 13% decline in only 3 months! DPD needs to hire 1,000 more officers ASAP. Your life may depend on it! Dallas County Jail Surges to 97% of Capacity |
Despite what city officials tell you, Dallas's crime rate is at a dangerous level and there's no solution in sight. The simple reality is that Dallas's jail is overflowing despite the weak-on-crime policies of Let-'Em-Go Creuzot. Criminals aren't afraid to spend a little time in the clink. They know they'll get low bail and a light sentence and be right back out on the streets! Read more...

Minorities Comprise Majority of Dallas Assault Victims |
Left-wing activists on our city council push for less policing in minority communities in the name of "racial justice" And as a direct result, minorities in Dallas top the list of crime victims! Out of 16,500 assault offenses in Dallas this year, roughly 13,500 victims were black or Latino! What kind of sick "justice" is that? Read more...

Each week the KDS team drives its planned route through Dallas photo-documenting and cataloguing illegal encampments to inform the city of these locations. Our team livestreams these activities giving the community a first-hand look at the vagrancy crisis in Dallas. In this episode, we show off the vagrant camp across the street from a new neighborhood. Watch here. |

District 6 Councilman Omar Narvaez's "Hammock Camp" |
This camp in Omar Narvaez's District 6 has been dubbed "Hammock Camp." Vagrants in Dallas know how to adapt to the inconvenience of city camp cleanings. It's not as inconvenient to move from spot to spot when you're camping with a hammock! Dallas must stop making it easy to live on the streets. |

District 7 Councilman Adam Bazaldua's
"Hideaway Camp" |
This camp in Adam Bazaldua's District 7 has earned the title "Hideaway Camp." While most camps in Dallas are subject to semi-regular "cleanings" that force vagrants to leave the camp for a couple of days before returning, some areas in Dallas are totally neglected by the city. The city allows vagrants to live comfortably in South Dallas neighborhoods! |

District 10 Councilwoman Kathy Stewart's
"Heroin Camp" |
We named this camp in Kathy Stewart's District 10 "Heroin Camp." We saw these vagrants leaning over passed out in this empty parking lot. We even pulled over to watch to make sure they were still alive! After several minutes they slowly stood up and stumbled a few feet away. Open drug use in Dallas is now a common sight. |

Mission Statement:
Keep Dallas Safe exists to address crime and homelessness in Dallas with the goal of transforming Dallas into the safest large city in Texas for residents and businesses. We aim to have a City Council that prioritizes crime rate which directly determines the quality of life in Dallas. We do this by fighting against the "defund the police" movement, holding accountable our city leaders' efforts towards lowering district crime rates, and highlighting our city's homelessness problems by pushing for enforcement of the prohibition of urban camping.
