By placing Issue 1 on the ballot, supporters of Issue 1
inadvertently ignited a movement that has only just begun. This
movement will continue to gather momentum, carrying us through
triumphs in November and beyond.
You're invited to an upcoming event titled "Building Momentum: From 'NO' in August to
'YES' in November." This free online event promises to be
an inspiring gathering where we will reflect on our achievements and
discuss our plans for the upcoming general election.
It was heartening to engage with Ohioans who were willing to fight
against this audacious power grab. We appreciate you!
The petition process is a tool that should never be taken for
granted, and your active involvement has shown that it will not be
altered without a fight.
The journey to this victory was not easy. From May 11th onward, the
Ohio Citizen Action canvassing team, along with a united statewide
effort, tirelessly engaged with fellow Ohioans, knocking on over
74,000 doors to spread our message of opposition to Issue 1. Your
conversations, your dedication, and your passion were instrumental in
rallying a groundswell of opposition.
The
battle to protect Ohio's democracy continues
From organizing in support of utility scale renewable energy
to mobilizing turnout in November, there's much to be done. Will you
