While the GOP Primary Debates are underway, we'd like to offer some quick facts about these candidates.
While in comparison, they may appear less of a threat than Trump, do not be fooled by their attempts to distance themselves from the MAGA-dominated faction of the GOP.
Some common ground shared by the candidates:
- supporting or signing a bill that has restricted abortion (DeSantis, Haley, Hutchinson, Pence, and Burgum have all signed abortion restrictions into law, while Christie voted to defund Planned Parenthood.)
- being a big fan ($$$ recipient) of the oil and gas industry, denying climate change, or downplaying the effects
- vocally or legislatively active against the LGBTQ+ community
- at some point endorsed, enabled, or lifted up the former President, Donald Trump.
