weather is costing lives, holding back the U.S. economy, and destroying
our environment. But in tonight’s Republican debate, I’m doubtful you’ll
hear any talk of real solutions.

We can’t afford to wait. [ [link removed] ]Can you join me in demanding Republicans and
big corporations take climate change seriously?

My bill to raise rates on polluters who drill on our public lands finally
took effect this year. But there's so much more to do. Protecting our
planet and preparing for natural disasters will be one of my top
priorities in the Senate. I’ll fight to:

* Pass the Green New Deal
* Adequately fund the Environmental Protection Agency
* Create a National Disaster Safety Board to improve preparedness for
natural disasters
* Support climate legislation that doesn’t leave any community behind

I never thought I’d have to prepare for a hurricane here in Irvine, but
that was the reality for so many Southern Californians last weekend.
