Super Tuesday is upon us and you can check your voter registration status here. If you didn't make the deadline to register/change party affiliation, a new California law will allow voters to register to vote on election day at a county elections office, neighborhood polling places or community vote centers. Find out ways you can help in the last week for canvassing, phone-banking, and text-banking for Bernie & Nithya Raman!
Our handy voter guide, is still handy SAVE THE DATE:Chapter-Wide Local MeetingSaturday, March 28th - Time & Location TBDSubmitting Resolutions & Proposals for Local Meetings As per Article IV, Section 2 in the
chapter bylaws amended by DSA-LA at the last Annual Convention in
October 2019, the Local will hold a single Local-wide
meeting at least three times annually and any resolution
or proposal properly qualified by 25 member signatures brought to the
Steering Committee ten (10) days prior to a Local Meeting shall be
published and agendized for a vote. Local Meetings will
be governed by Robert’s Rules of Order, Simplified and Applied,
amended to allow for remote or proxy voting and progressive stack.

Bernie's campaign has served as a
platform for working class politics in the US for the first time in
decades—supplying energy and excitement to the Democratic Party while
simultaneously piquing the interests of unengaged voters on a scale
that could promise a fundamental change in the political electorate.
But what does that change look like, practically? How does that change
become permanent? And how do we avoid breaking the promises of
political change made by Democrats before? This session will explore
what political change could look like under a Sanders presidency and
how to take advantage of political opportunities locally.
