The Truck Driver 3 position represents the Transportation and Receiving Services for Washington State Surplus Operations. The position operates from within the Business Resources Division (BRD) under the Department of Enterprise Services (DES).
The selected candidate will possess a positive attitude, maintain professional communication and interpersonal skills to interact daily and frequently with internal and external customers. The majority of the work is performed getting in and out of vehicles of varying sizes loading and unloading the truck using dollies and other equipment. Deliveries are made to multiple locations within tight timelines. Traffic delays, mechanical problems/breakdowns, inclement weather, and physical demands of loading and unloading heavy items are to be expected. This position travels daily throughout Washington State with the occasional travel to Eastern Washington, requiring an overnight stay.
