F.A. Hayek's classic work The Road to Serfdom had a profound impact on the political conversation in the West. Hayek warned about the rise of authoritarian government taking place under the cover of wartime planning. His warning to "the socialists of all parties" became a key component in the intellectual war against President Roosevelt's New Deal agenda.
Hayek's warning has renewed relevance today in the face of the green agenda. In our newest animated video, "The Green Road to Serfdom," we look at the dangers posed by green agenda demagogues that have found political success in Europe and the United States. The costs of their rhetoric can't simply be measured with the economic damage their policies inflict but the devastating impact their alarmist rhetoric is having on younger generations.
