Firearm suicide. Lockdown drills. Mass shootings. Unintentional shootings. Police shootings. Domestic violence. Daily gun violence. Breaking news of another tragedy.
Time and again we've seen this crisis tear apart our communities—and every time, we've responded by turning our pain into hope and our grief into action. We are in this together to create a better, safer future for everyone.
And we mean everyone. This crisis has taken many different forms, and it's impacted all of us. When we asked supporters like you how they've been affected by gun violence, they answered:
"My friend, a wonderful human being who was just starting her life, was senselessly killed in a drive-by shooting."
-Rachel R.
"I live in constant fear when my 7-year-old is at school. I am afraid a mass shooting will happen to us. We shouldn't have to live like this."
-Patricia F.
"No matter where I am I look for places to hide and emergency exits. I'm scared of public places."
-Ilene K.
"My good friend was killed in the Las Vegas Mass Shooting in 2017."
-Lisa R.
"It has me afraid to go out and live life."
-Candice K.
Your responses painted a clear picture: Gun violence has made us fear every day for our lives and the lives of our loved ones.
You also showed that we're in this together—and together, we're turning this fear and grief into hope. We're demanding action.
Our volunteers do everything from data entry to introducing secure storage resolutions to their school boards. Sign up to become a Moms Demand Action volunteer today and help end this crisis for everyone, in every community.
Thank you for helping make this movement stronger than ever.
