There are plenty of reasons to join our fight to lose Ted Cruz—so many, we could take a page out of Cruz’s playbook and start a podcast. 😆 But we’ll spare you, John. Instead, we’ll lay out the top three reasons we need your support:
1️⃣ Ted Cruz is losing steam. While Ted rode the Tea Party wave in 2012 to win election to the U.S. Senate by 16%, he barely won re-election by just 2% six years later in 2018.
2️⃣ Texas is competitive. In fact, CNN just named Texas as one of the 10 Senate seats that are most likely to flip in 2024!
3️⃣ Grassroots energy is on our side. Two strong Democrats have thrown their hat in the ring to unseat Ted Cruz—and they’ve generated a groundswell of support. We know if we can build on this momentum and raise enough resources, we can finally get rid of Ted.
But here’s the deal: We know GOP dark money groups will come in big to bankroll Ted’s campaign—and that’s why it’s more important than ever that we raise the funds we need to boost the eventual Democratic nominee and win.
