Folks, a few numbers have become a big theme in my campaign:

3: I’d be the third Black woman elected to the Senate.

2: That’s the number of seats Mitch McConnell needs to take back power in the Senate.

1: One vision in mind – restoring Bright Hope to this country and advocating for Americans.

All of these factors are incredibly important to us if I plan on being inaugurated as the third Black woman to serve in the Senate – and the first from Delaware. I’ve always heard that the best things come in threes. I’m the oldest of three. I have three amazing children (including my wonderful daughter-in-love).

And knowing I’d be the third Black woman to serve in the Senate makes that number sound even better than I could imagine.
