Good morning Young Democrats,

I am excited to share with you that we had a successful and fun Statewide Leadership Committee (SLC) meeting over the weekend! We approved four (4) new CYD chapters to our organization that completed the chartering process, and we adopted our first new CYD Platform since 2018!

We welcome the members of the Chino Valley Young Democrats, Inland Empire Feminine Young Democrats, Latinx Young Democrats of the Inland Empire, and the Madera Young Democrats to our ranks! Also, thank you to CYD Platform Committee Chair Rachel Bracker, the members of the CYD Platform Committee, and especially all CYD members who shared comments to help us build the most progressive CYD Platform in our history!

We had a great and engaging Organizing and Messaging Training put on by our friends from Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California (PPAC), and heard from Congressmembers Jim Costa and Adam Schiff during our Welcome Reception!

Thank you to all CYD attendees and CYD Officers for helping build a productive and fun weekend in Visalia!

Save-the-Date: CYD Endorsing Convention in Sacramento, November 17-19

Please mark your calendars for the upcoming CYD Endorsing Convention taking place in Sacramento, CA on November 17 - 18, 2023 in conjunction with the California Democratic Party Convention. We will share more details in the coming weeks, but expect a packed agenda including numerous trainings to help prepare YDs for the upcoming 2024 elections and the important business of considering CYD endorsements including for whom CYD will support to be California’s newest United States Senator!
