The West Los Angeles VA Medical Center will formally launch their Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) on October 25th, 2023, from 9am to 2pm.

Over the next six months, the VA will deploy 25 MMUs to provide healthcare and support services to Veterans experiencing homelessness and at-risk Veterans. The MMU will start accepting Veterans at their Stand Down event on October 25th, where VA staff and volunteers provide health screenings and other services to Veterans at risk of homelessness.
These units, funded by the American Rescue Plan that Democrats passed in Congress and signed into law by President Biden in 2021, will offer physical and mental health care, as well as connect Veterans to resources such as peer support and housing outreach.
