Each year, millions of our friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues sign up to volunteer as poll workers (and many of these jurisdictions even offer pay!). Poll workers are the unsung heroes of our elections —they set up polling places, check in voters, help answer questions, and guide voters through the voting process.
Right now, there’s a critical shortage of poll workers, so if you can dedicate a day to help our democracy run, use the Election Assistance Commission’s poll worker recruitment lookup tool or contact your local election office for more details.
