I know you care deeply about the rising tide of antisemitism and hate in our communities because you’ve shown your willingness and courage to take action.

It wasn’t until I heard the click of a gun that I suspected anything...

The terrorist who took me and three congregants hostage believed... Jews controlled everything: the government, the media, the financial sector.

He wanted a convicted terrorist released and he thought Jews could make that happen. He told us repeatedly that he ‘loved death’ more than we ‘loved life.’

Rabbi Charlie stayed calm and kept a conversation going, and then seized his moment to help all the hostages dash for freedom.
