On Tuesday, Teamsters voted by an overwhelming 86.3% to ratify the most historic collective bargaining agreement in the history of UPS. The five-year contract protects and rewards more than 340,000 UPS Teamsters nationwide, raising wages for full- and part-time workers, creating more full-time jobs, and securing important workplace protections, including air conditioning.
Teamsters President Sean O’Brien has said it “sets a new standard in the labor movement and raises the bar for all workers." The contract has the potential to influence what other workers around the country, both union and nonunion, are able to get from their employers in the future.
Congratulations to our affiliate members at Teamsters 639 and 922, as well as Teamster members across the country, for this historic victory!
