Visit Yellowstone National Park in 2020

Dear Friend of the National Parks,
There is a reason Yellowstone National Park was designated the
world's first national park in 1872 and now hosts around four
million visitors each year. There is so much to see and do! Not to
mention it offers one of the best wildlife-viewing experiences in the
country.

Last year was the first time I visited Yellowstone, and it far
exceeded my expectations. I participated in the Yellowstone Wildlife
Safari trip with Off the Beaten Path and NPCA in May, which is a great
month to visit. The park is not as crowded as the summer months and
there is an overabundance of active wildlife.

In fact, Yellowstone is home to over 60 species of mammals, many of
which we encountered on our adventure. We saw grizzly bears, bison,
pronghorn antelope, moose, elk, mountain goats and many others. We
also spotted and identified over 50 species of birds, including the
Harlequin duck.
There is much more to see besides wildlife in Yellowstone. Picturesque
vistas in Hayden and Lamar Valleys, cascading falls in the 'Grand
Canyon' of Yellowstone, and numerous geyser basins and hot springs
that give the park's landscape an otherworldly feel.
The Yellowstone Wildlife Safari is just one of several options we
offer that provide a naturalist-led tour of the park. If you are
interested in visiting both Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks
together, consider The Essence of Yellowstone & Grand Teton.

Yellowstone during the winter months in our Yellowstone Winter Wonders

Don't forget: By traveling with Off the Beaten Path as an NPCA
member, a percentage of your trip supports NPCA's work to
protect and enhance America's National Park System for present and
future generations.
See you in the parks!
