Chuck's rescue was dubbed “Operation Noah's Ark” because of all the species involved. When rescuers arrived at the property, they were met with a horrible sight: the animals had no access to food or water; many were suffering from various health issues, and several animals were already dead — their bodies left to decay in cages with other animals.
Law enforcement seized 43 dogs, 37 cats, 17 rabbits, 10 geese, eight chickens, six ducks (including Chuck), six goats, five sheep, five chinchillas, four ferrets, and two alpacas from that horrific hoarding situation. |
Today, Chuck is a beloved member of a new family with plenty of ducks and humans to keep him company. And Chuck’s abusers pled guilty to multiple counts of animal cruelty. Now that’s justice!
